§ Mr. Dalyell
asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will make a statement on the financing of the British contribution to CERN.

§ Mr. Walden
The United Kingdom contribution to CERN budget for the calendar year 1987 is 126.65 million Swiss francs. Provision for the sterling equivalent of this sum will be included in the 1987–88 Estimates for the Science and Engineering Research Council, which will be presented to Parliament in due course.
