§ Mr. Wilsonasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what information he has as to which European Economic Community countries test blood for the HIV (human immunodeficiency) virus.
§ Mr. Newton[pursuant to his reply, 9 February 1987, c. 129]: In the United Kingdom every blood donation is tested for antibodies to the human immunodeficiency 329W virus. The World Health Organisation has advised that all countries in the European Community have taken measures to test all blood donations for HIV.
