Dr. Hampson

asked the Prime Minister (1) what her office has spent on (a) computer hardware and (b) computer software for each year since 1984; and what the projected expenditure is for 1987;

(2) to which firms her office has awarded contracts for computer hardware for each year since 1984; and what was the value of each contract.

There are seven contracts currently in operation, only one of which has been awarded in the period. The contractors are CASU Electronics Ltd., The Imtec Group plc and ICL (UK) Ltd.
