§ Mr. Dalyellasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will make a statement on his latest discussions with European Economic Community Governments about policy on hormone legislation.
§ Mr. Donald ThompsonEC directives 81/602 EEC and 85/649 EEC require member states to prohibit the use of hormones in farm animals for all but a small number of specified uses. At its meeting in January the committee for veterinary medicinal products began its discussions under article 3 of 85/649 EEC on a list of products and conditions of use which may be permitted.
