§ Mr. TrippierThe assessment level of the dose for any person outside the site boundary was first published by the Health and Safety Executive in April 1979 in "Safety Assessment Principles for Nuclear Power Reactors". The International Commission on Radiological Protection does not make recommendations on assessment levels; it recommends dose limits which are then used by Her Majesty's nuclear installations inspectorate of the HSE in devising the assessment level.
