§ Mrs. RumboldThe Government believe that there should be room in the secondary curriculum for elements which need not or should not be taught as separate subjects. Some awareness of economic matters and of overseas development, for example, which many secondary schools already include in the curriculum, can arise naturally in the course of studying subjects such as geography and economics.
