§ Mr. Chris PattenThe Government are deeply distressed at the situation in and around the refugee camps. We shall continue to call upon all parties to the fighting to observe humanitarian conventions and to allow relief workers to carry out their essential tasks. As soon as this is possible we shall be ready to respond urgently to requests for emergency aid.
