§ Mr. Archie HamiltonDuring the current industrial dispute in Germany an extra 157 lunchtime supervisors are being employed in service children's schools at a cost of 1,750 DM per day. At the garrison accounting rate of 2.75 DM =£1 this is a daily cost of £636.36.
The extra cost since the beginning of term on Tuesday 6 January until Friday 6 February 24 days is therefore some £15,273.
