Mr. Rooker

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services (1) how long appeals against decisions relating to claims for single payments in Birmingham are taking to he dealt with compared to the period before the change in the regulations;

(2) how many appeals are being received each month in Birmingham against decisions relating to single payments for those on supplementary benefit; and how this compares to the period before the change in the regulations.
