The Solicitor-GeneralEight justices of the peace tendered their resignations to the Lord Chancellor between 1 November 1985 and 5 February 1987. Two of these arose because the justices were leaving the jurisdiction; two for health reasons and three for personal reasons. The eighth resignation was tendered for political reasons, and the question of its acceptance is under consideration.
