§ Mr. Chapmanasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what proposals he has for capital expenditure programmes in the education budget of his Department in 1987–88.
§ Dr. MawhinneyA total of £46 million will be available for capital expenditure next year. This will provide for increased expenditure on minor works and equipment, especially in schools, and for the commencement of 28 major new capital projects with a total estimated cost of £26 million.
