asked the Minister for the Arts whether he has met the trustees of the British Rail pension fund to discuss the future availability for public exhibition of its art collection.

No. Items from the British Rail pension fund are already on long term loan for exhibition to public collections, including the Fitzwilliam museum, Cambridge, the Castle museum, Norwich, the Kelvingrove museum and art gallery, Glasgow, and several others.
