HC Deb 06 February 1987 vol 109 cc853-4W
Mr. Henderson

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what representations he has received from the National Farmers' Union of Scotland concerning the ban on the use of Dinoseb, and the implications for the Scottish raspberry crop; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. John MacKay

The National Farmers' Union of Scotland has made strong representations to my right hon. and learned Friend about the potentially serious commercial consequences for Scottish raspberry production of the suspension of approval for the use of Dinoseb.

The matter will be considered by the advisory committee on pesticides at its meeting on 12 February 1987.
