§ Mr. WaldenThe Medical Research Council, which receives its grant-in-aid through the Department, is the main Government agency for the promotion of medical research in the United Kingdom. I understand that the MRC has received two requests from the National Reyes Syndrome Foundation of the United Kingdom outlining proposed research studies. These requests were transferred to the council from the Department of Health and Social Security. The applicants have been invited to submit detailed project grant applications to the council.
