HL Deb 05 February 1987 vol 484 c417WA
Lady Saltoun of Abernethy

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether 6 Main Street, Broadsea, Fraserburgh was a listed building; if so, in what grade it was listed; and whether the Secretary of State was aware it had recently been demolished.

The Minister of State, Scottish Office (Lord Glenarthur)

The house in question is listed B for its townscape value within a group of buildings in Main Street, which is also part of a conservation area. I understand that the house has not been demolished but that, following the service of a dangerous building notice by Banff and Buchan District Council, the roof was removed in November last.
