§ Mr. Beithasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs how many applications he has received for fishing licences in the Falkland Islands exclusive fisheries zone; from which countries these applications have been made; and how many from each country.
§ Mr. EggarA total of 532 applications for licences to fish in the Falkland Islands interim conservation and management zone (FICZ) from 1 February until 30 June 1987 were received by the Falkland Islands Government. The table gives a breakdown by country and fishery. A number of these applications applied to both of the two fishing grounds for which licences have been granted.
