§ 41. Mr. Wallaceasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what developments have taken place over the last six months with regard to feasibility studies into the sub-sea disposal of nuclear waste.
§ Mr. WaldegraveThe Department has been participating in an internationally co-ordinated programme of research into sub-sea disposal of nuclear waste, conducted under the auspices of the Nuclear Energy Agency of the OECD. The United Kingdom research will be complete by 31 March 1987, and reports on feasibility should be available by the middle of the year.
