HC Deb 04 February 1987 vol 109 c711W
Mr. Meacher

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will give his best estimate of the current value of National Health Service buildings and land in Scotland.

Mr. John MacKay

The information which is held centrally relates to NHS residential accommodation in Scotland which, on the basis of a study in 1985, was valued at about £180 million. The current market value of property in Scotland is assessed only when it is decided to dispose of surplus land.
