HC Deb 02 February 1987 vol 109 c481W
Mr. Ashley

asked the Paymaster General if he will give details of the numbers of disabled people who have been interviewed as part of the Government's restart programme.

Mr. Lee

We do not know how many people with disabilities have been interviewed as part of the restart programme. However, of the 779,051 people counselled by 8 January 1987, 32,246 were referred to a disablement resettlement officer for specialist advice and a further 3,015 were referred to an employment rehabilitation centre.
