§ Mr. Donald ThompsonThe coast protection scheme proposed by Tendring district council has met several objections and the council was directed last June to make application for planning permission to my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for the Environment. However. I am informed that further site investigations are now under consideration, pending the outcome of which the council has deferred submission of the application.
