Mr. Allen

To ask the Secretary of State for Social Services (1) what information he has as to how many miles were covered in each year since 1979 by the Nottinghamshire Ambulance Service in(a) emergency services, (b) non-emergency services, (c) mini-cabs and (d) volunteer drivers;

(2) how many emergency equipped ambulances have been available in Nottinghamshire for each year since 1983.

The available information is given in the table. The hon. Member may wish to contact the chairman of Nottingham health authority for more detailed information as his authority is responsible for managing the Nottinghamshire ambulance service.
