James, of Birmingham B23, regarding damage caused to her home by acid leaking from the battery-operated wheelchair supplied by his Department's contractors; why Mrs. James has not been kept informed about such progress; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. ScottThe matter to which the hon. Member refers is the responsibility of the Disablement Services Authority. However, I understand that the authority has now written to Mrs. James to find out the cost of the damage caused so that compensation may be paid.
