To ask the Secretary of State for Defence if, mindful of the fraud perpetrated on his Department by Gateway Motor Auctions (Stirling) Ltd. in 1985 and 1986, he has instituted any changes in the monitoring of vehicle disposals; and if he will make a statement.

Yes, I am aware of the embezzlement by the directors of the company, but it would not be in the public interest to disclose details of changes in the Department's monitoring and auditing arrangements.
