§ Mr. Donald ThompsonThe Food Advisory Committee is not carrying out any general review of labelling claims on food products. I have recently received advice on the use of the word "natural" and other similar claims in food labelling and I refer my hon. Friend to the reply I gave yesterday to my hon. Friend the Member for York (Mr. Gregory). The Food Advisory Committee is also considering whether there should be further controls over nutrition claims in food labelling and I hope to receive its advice shortly.
