§ Mr. KirkwoodTo ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland whether he has begun consultations with a view to introducing provisions for access to housing records and social services records, analagous to those made in England, Wales and Scotland under the Access to Personal Files Act 1987.
§ Mr. Needham[holding answer 14 December 1987]: The hon. Member has been given an undertaking that provisions comparable to those contained in the Access to Personal Files Act 1987 will be made for Northern Ireland by Order in Council. Formal consultation with interested parties and bodies will take place once the proposed draft Order in Council is published.
