§ Mr. Allan StewartTo ask the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he has considered the representations he has received about the operation of the Legal Aid (Scotland) Act 1986 and its subordinate regulations.
§ Mr. RifkindI have now completed my consideration of the representations I have received, and my response, containing detailed proposals to amend the Act and subordinate legislation, is today being sent to the Scottish Legal Aid Board and the Law Society of Scotland. Copies are also being sent to other bodies which made representations.
