§ Mr. Ian StewartNo specific provision is made for logistic support for United States navy carrier-based aircraft at airfields in Scotland in peace time. The 1973 United States/United Kingdom line of communication arrangement provides for logistic support to be supplied to United States forces to enable them to conduct operations in support of NATO in an emergency. The detailed arrangements for this support are confidential between our two Governments.
