§ Mr. CopeExpenditure to date on the pilot project phase is as follows:
£ million 1983–84 7 1984–85 26 1985–86 39 1986–87 170 1 Provisional. In total, some £250 million will have been made available for pilot projects between 1983 and the end of the pilot phase in 1992.
In the 1986 White Paper "Working Together—Education and Training" the Government announced the extension of TVEI into a national scheme available to all local authorities in Great Britain from the autumn this year. Funding for the extension amounts to some £900 million over the next 10 years.
