However, in 1986 approximately 2 cu m of low-level waste from English National Health Service hospitals was disposed of at the disposal site at Drigg. Also 0.01 cu m of intermediate level waste from Cobalt 60 sources was sent for long-term storage at Harwell from hospitals in England and Wales.
