§ Mr. FreemanAs a result of the incident on 12 September 1983 involving an aircraft of the United States air force over Benbecula, a total of just over £141,000 was paid out by way of compensation to local people who made claims against my Department for damage to their property. I am not aware of any outstanding claims relating to this incident.
