§ Mr. Ian StewartThe work of the former directorate of battle doctrine is now carried out by the directorate of doctrine (Army). The directorate of doctrine (Army) currently consists of 16 personnel, including clerical support. Its work encompasses the formulation of broad tactical concepts for the Army in the time frame 10 to 25 years ahead. It does not have any staff attached or seconded to the air land forces application agency of headquarters United States Army training and doctrine command or to Headquarters United States Air Force tactical air command.
