HC Deb 11 December 1987 vol 124 c288W
Mr. Andrew F. Bennett

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what representations he has made to other European Economic Community Governments about problems facing corrugated board manufacturers in the United Kingdom concerning alleged under payment of customs duties; and what information he has as to whether similar manufacturers in Germany, Holland, France and Italy are being treated in the same way.

Mr. Lilley

The circumstances involving alleged underpayments of anti-dumping duty on kraftliner paper imported from the United States of America by corrugated board manufacturers have been discussed at Community meetings in Brussels. I understand that investigations have been carried out in the other member states mentioned and a number of irregularities reported.
