(2) how much he expects to authorise to be spent on coal-face cutting equipment by British Coal, under the Coal Industry Act 1987, in the years 1988–89, 1989–90, 1990–91 and 1991–92.

The Government do not make specific allocations within their overall investment approval to the British Coal Corporation. Responsibility for specific investment decisions is a matter for the corporation.
