To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will make a statement on the time scale for the provision of the proposed psychogeriatric unit at Rutherglen.

Provision of the proposed psychogeriatric unit will depend on the outcome of two strategic reviews which the Greater Glasgow health board is presently conducting on services for the elderly, and on psychiatric services (about which a consultative document has recently been issued).
