HC Deb 09 December 1987 vol 124 c202W
Mr. Hood

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland why no criminal charges have been brought against the three men alleged to have abducted three children, Craig Park, Mark Lane and John Love, from their home in Bornbrae street, Larkhill on 17 September.

Lord James Douglas-Hamilton

The Solicitor-General for Scotland has already written to the hon. Member about this case, and has explained that the Crown's reasons for declining to prosecutre are confidential. The hon. Member may however be assured that the matter was carefully considered, and that the Solicitor-General for Scotland fully agreed with the procurator fiscal's decision against prosecution.
