§ 24. Mr. AspinwallTo ask the Secretary of State for Defence how many weapons and explosives have been seized in Northern Ireland since the start of the current year as a result of the work of the British armed forces.
§ Mr. Ian StewartFinds of weapons and explosives by the armed forces in Northern Ireland are not recorded separately from finds made by the security forces as a whole. At 26 November 1987, 250 weapons, 17,839 rounds of ammunition and 5,781 kg (12,718 lb) of explosives had been found by the security forces since the beginning of the year. In addition, 3,843 kg (8,454 lb) of explosives had been neutralised.
