§ Mr. FreemanThe computer system used by the Royal Air Force's inspectorate of flight safety is designed to allow the timely retrieval of accident data relevant to the safety of RAF aircraft. It contains information on all serious accidents to RAF aircraft since 1979. The time actually spent at low level by RAF aircraft during training sorties is not recorded. The information requested is, therefore, not available.

§ Mr. FreemanI will send full replies to those hon. Members who have written to me on the subject of low flying as soon as possible. Correspondence from hon. Members normally requires investigations and the number of such letters has recently risen significantly. In the meantime, I have sent either acknowledgements or interim replies to all such Members.
