Mr. JacksonAs part of the programme of action to improve efficiency in universities agreed with my right hon. Friend in November 1986, the Committee of Vice-Chancellors and Principals published in April a code of practice on the important matter of academic staff training. The committee intends to survey universities' implementation of the code by mid-1988 and publish its findings.
