§ Mr. Ken HargreavesTo ask the Secretary of State for Education and Science how he intends to inform parents, teachers, school governors and others about proposed changes in primary and secondary schools.
§ Mr. Kenneth BakerThe volume of responses to the consultative documents issued this summer on various aspects of the proposed reforms in education indicates the great interest felt by many sections of the community in the Governments proposals for education reform. I am publishing this week a booklet to inform public debate during Parliaments consideration of the Education Reform Bill. The booklet is being sent to the clerk of the governing body and the head teacher of every maintained school in England. Copies of the booklet have been placed in the Library of the House.
