HC Deb 04 December 1987 vol 123 cc776-7W
Mr. Blunkett

To ask the Secretary of State for Employment if he will publish the total number of prosecutions brought by the Health and Safety Executive and the total fines imposed for the building and construction industry and the rest of the manufacturing and construction industry as a whole for each of the last five years.

Mr. Nicholls

[holding answer 2 December 1987]: The table shows the available information for 1981 to 1986–87:

a table showing the amount of each sale, the country to which the food or wine was sent and the sale price in pence per pound.

Mr. MacGregor

[holding answer 30 November 1987]: At any one time CAP arrangements provide for a number of sales schemes. These tend to follow established patterns, but the following sales to non-EC countries, agreed over the past 12 months, have distinguishing features:

1The price is calculated from the dollar equivalent of the price actually paid by the purchaser (including MCAs), converted into sterling at the spot rate at the time of the sale.

1The price is the actual sale price out of intervention (exclusive of MCAs) and converted into sterling at the green rate.

1The price is the sale price (including MCAs) that would have obtained if the beef had been exported from the United Kingdom, which it was not.
