§ Mr. Michael ForsythThere are currently no water fluoridation schemes in operation in Scotland and it has not been the practice in the past to allocate funds to health boards specifically for this purpose. In general therefore the position is that health boards should expect to meet the cost of any future fluoridation schemes from within their normal allocations, but in the light of what is said in the Governments White Paper "Promoting Better Health", I shall consider whether there is any scope for giving them further support.
