To ask the Attorney-General what were the proposed staffing levels for solicitors and barristers when the Crown Prosecution Service was established in Leicestershire; and what are the present levels.

The Attorney-General

The proposed staffing level for solicitors and barristers when the Crown Prosecution Service was established in Leicestershire was 17. At present there are 22 posts for lawyers in Leicestershire of which nine were filled as at 30 November 1987.
