§ Mr. CohenTo ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what estimate he has made of the additional administration costs falling on the London borough of Waltham Forest as a result of his decision to make transitional arrangements for the introduction of community charge in that borough; and if he will reimburse those additional administration costs.
§ Mr. HowardIn the first instance, the size of any extra costs must be a matter for the local authority. The question of support for administration costs will be an issue for the rate and revenue support grant settlements for the years in question.
