Convention on Long-Range Transboundary Air Pollution, United Nations, New York, 1987)has been placed in the Library of the House.At present, no power stations in the United Kingdom are so equipped, but the Central Electricity Generating Board plans to retrofit 6,000 MW of generating capacity with flue gas desulphurisation equipment during the next 643W 10 years. Furthermore, all new fossil fuel fired power stations will be required to have the technology to control sulphur emissions.
