To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he will list the grants now available from his Department to private developers wishing to develop in inner-city areas.

Mr. Trippier

The following grants are available to private developers in England wishing to develop in inner-cities:

  • urban development grant
  • urban regeneration grant
  • derelict land grant

Assistance is also provided through the operation of 17 enterprise zones, six urban development corporations, the urban programme and land registers.
