HC Deb 02 December 1987 vol 123 c599W
Mr. McAllion

To ask the Secretary of State for Employment what representations he has received(a) supporting and (b) opposing clause 3 of the Employment Bill 1987.

Mr. Nicholls

Individual responses to the Green Paper "Trade Unions and their Members" and representations on particular clauses of the Employment Bill have been treated in confidence by my Department. I can tell the hon. Gentleman, however, that of the 67 comments received on the Green Paper proposal to give a statutory right for trade union members not to be subject to disciplinary proceedings for refusing to take industrial action, 16 expressed approval and 51 expressed disapproval.
