HC Deb 01 December 1987 vol 123 c483W
Mr. Wilshire

To ask the Attorney-General whether he has yet taken a decision whether or not to prosecute anyone in relation to project Zircon; and if he will make a statement.

The Attorney-General

Having considered with the Director of Public Prosecutions all the relevant factors, including in particular the public interest, I have decided not to institute criminal proceedings in respect of any disclosure that has been reported to him of information in relation to Project Zircon. I have consulted my noble and learned Friend the Lord Advocate: he does not intend to institute any separate proceedings in Scotland.
