To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Science whether there are any plans to reorganise universities veterinary schools; and if he will make a statement.

As one of a series of subject rationalisation reviews, the University Grants Committee has established a working party on veterinary under the chairmanship of Sir Ralph Riley FRS which is to make recommendations for the committee's consideration.
