Mr. Ralph Howell

To ask the Secretary of State for Social Services what are the top and bottom levels of annual salaries of(a) a ward sister, (b) a state registered nurse, (c) a state enrolled nurse and (d) a midwife, showing (i) basic salary and (ii) average salary with overtime in each case.

The following table shows the current basic salary scales for these grades and the estimated average earnings of full time staff for working unsocial hours and overtime etc.
