Mr. JacksonFurther to the Autumn Statement's substantial increases in the resources for education, I can now announce that capital allocations to local authorities in England for accommodation and equipment for further and higher education will be £50 million in 1988–89—an increase of £7 million or 16 per cent. over the corresponding figure for 1987–88.
